Refund policy
Nothing is perfect and if it was you might not be here reading this. However, all light fittings sold on the Lightingales website carry a minimum 2 year warranty as directed by Australian consumer laws. Phew, if anything is wrong with your lovely light fitting we will do everything to make sure your light fitting is replaced or repaired if something goes wrong within that warranty period.

No cowboys allowed unfortunately. To maintain that lovely warranty, all fittings that are not DIY must be installed by a qualified electrician and all warranty requests will require evidence of the qualified electrician/s install.

Change of mind / Incorrect order
Making decisions is hard sometimes so we are always here to help choose. However, please choose carefully as we do not offer a refund if you change your mind or order incorrectly. We have carefully chosen some amazing brands to showcase and sell here at Lightingales and quite often they are custom or handmade, therefore we cannot simply change or cancel the order once it’s placed. We ask that you double check the specifications to make sure you have selected the right fitting for the right spot.

However…

In the event you do make a mistake on a stocked item we will offer an exchange if notified within 30 days of receiving the order. This will incur a 25% restock fee, plus the items must have original undamaged packaging materials, have not been installed and the box must not have been opened. The cost of return is at the customer’s expense.

Refunds will not be given to custom lights, handmade or special-order lights.

Handmade

We love a good handmade light fitting as there is a good chance it is a one of kind and made just for you. Due to the handcrafted nature of these light fittings and homewares each product may have its own quirks, variations, imperfections, variations in size, air bubbles, different glazes and in some cases, beauty spots with natural inconsistencies. When you choose handmade, you are also accepting of these little inconsistencies and returns will not be offered.

In selecting your hand made item you are agreeing to these terms.

Faulty goods
Stuff happens, we get it. You may receive your lovely new light fitting from Lightingales and it doesn’t work. Don’t worry, we have your back. Let the Lightingales team know within 7 days of receiving your product and we will work to replace/repair the fitting in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty which will usually be supplied with the product.

Send all faulty goods claims with any necessary photo’s/evidence below:

In the unlikely event the product is faulty and the fault cannot be rectified under the manufacturer’s warranty, we will offer a complete exchange or if we are unable to exchange for the same or a similar product, we will offer a full refund.

Damaged goods

If your goods arrive damaged or faulty, our team at Lightingales is here to support you and listen to you. If the goods arrive in a way that you are not happy with, please notify our Warehouse Team within 7 days of receiving with a clear description and photos for our team to assist you. Notifications received after 7 days may not be eligible for replacement items and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Please also provide us with the following for ease of processing:​​

  • PO number, name and your best contact number.
  • Images of the packaging – including any damage to the packaging.
  • Images of any packaging labels – both brand labels as well as courier labels.
  • Images of how the goods are packed inside the box.
  • Images of the damage or issues with the item.

We will endeavour to confirm your email within 2-3 working days, following this a resolution should be provided to you within 7 working days. Time must be allowed for investigation by Lightingales before resolution can be provided. We thank you for your patience with this.

When sending any item back to us, it is important that you save all the original packaging. Please contact us if you need help to send the item back to Lightingales.

If the products are deemed damaged in transit, we will either arrange repair (when relevant) arrange a replacement or if a replacement is not available and the product is unusable, we will offer a full refund. If the product is deemed partially damaged but still usable, we may offer a partial refund within reasons.

International Customers
G’day and welcome! We loving sending our unique collections abroad so if you are based outside of Australia and would like to purchase any of our products, please send an email to hello@lightingales.com.au to let us know which items you are interested in and your delivery address. We will do our best to provide you with a shipping quote within 48 hours of making contact.

Sale Items

Purchases of sale items (unless faulty or damaged) are final. Please choose carefully as under no circumstance do we accept exchange or refund on a sale item.

Liability
Lightingales is not liable for any losses or damages caused by this online shop, or any store linked to or from it. We reserve the right to refuse any order without giving reason. Upon cancellation of an order, we will make all reasonable attempts to contact you using the details provided. All received monies will be refunded using the method received.

Errors / Receiving Wrong or Missing Products

If your goods arrive and they are wrong or missing bits, our team at Lightingales apologise. Please do not install the product and contact our Warehouse team immediately to assist you – orders@lightingales.com.au or hello@lightingales.com.au

Delivery and Shipping

At Lightingales we pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service that’s personal to you, original designer products and the best online and in store lighting experience.

Please ensure you enter the correct shipping details when placing your order and that someone is present during business hours to sign for your delivery.

We cannot deliver to PO Boxes.

If your details need to be changed once an order has been placed, please contact hello@lightingales.com.au If your product has already been dispatched, you will need to contact the courier directly to redirect your delivery.

Individual lead times vary from product to product, with estimations indicated within each product description.

Please contact the Lightingales team if you are working on a deadline and need your lights by a certain time.

Delivery

If your product is in stock, Lightingales will aim to ship your products within 2-4 business days from the date the order is placed. You should hear from our Warehouse team within 48 hours.

Lead times for items not in stock will vary from product to product, with estimates indicated within each product description on our website. If you are unsure or the lead times don’t line up with your expectations, please get in contact with us orders@lightingales.com.au and we will do our best to help. Delivery times may change for large or oversized items. If you have any questions regarding your order or for any specific lead time enquiries, please contact us at orders@lightingales.com.au and provide your name and invoice number.

We will always try to be as prompt and accurate in relation to your order and delivery times, however sometimes due to things out of our control with couriers, natural disasters, pandemics and material shortages your order will be delayed. We will always endeavour to be in contact with you to keep you up to date with your order.

Privacy
We are committed to keeping your information safe and secure. By engaging with our services or using our website, you are giving consent to use to use your personal information in the manner set our in our privacy policy.

Consent
Your consent is important to us. Therefore, we will never sell your name, address, email address, credit card information or any other personal information to any third party without your consent.
