Who are the crazy kids that bought a lighting store during Covid?
That’d be us — Bec & Steve.
Married for almost 20 years (next month! 😳), three kids, one fur baby and one lighting store that completely changed our lives.
Five years ago, life blew up. We bought a business name, 40 years of stock and absolutely no idea what we were doing, except that we wanted something different for our family.
Fast forward to now:
Blood, sweat, a few wrong paint colours, a few smashed lights, lots of tears from Bec, Steve steering the ship, Bec adding all the colour, and a team who’ve become family.
It’s been wild. We get plenty wrong, and a whole lot right. At the end of the day, we’re just a mum and dad who decided to trust our gut, take the chance, ignore the fear and say, “Stuff it, let’s do it.”
Growth doesn’t suit everyone, and change isn’t easy, if it was, everyone would do it. But it’s taught us everything about who we are and the people around us.
